I discovered A.S. Neill and Summerhill long before my studies to become a primary school teacher. Since then, I have been interested by educators as Freinet, Cousinet, Oury, Freire and many others with who i share points of views. However, I must say that Neill's thoughts on education have been (and still are) the most important in my construction both as a teacher and a human being. Very often (should i say daily?), I refer to or think about Neill in my teaching practice (most of the time, in the way i interfere with pupils). I have the chance to work in a little school (60 pupils) with colleagues with the same vision of the world and it is obvious that Neill, among others educators, takes his part in the way we are running the school with pupils and adults working with us.
