100 Playlists

I’m going to create 100 Spotify Playlists. This will start at 1921 and run all the way through to 2021. One playlist for each year Summerhill has been open.

I will post this on the Summerhill 100 Facebook page so please get invloved and tell me which tracks you would like in the Playlists. Just let me know the name of the artist, track name and the year it was released. I’m looking forward to hearing everyones favourite 1921 hit!

Thanks,
Ian

    1. Thanks, Anthony.
Will check him out. Any more tips for those years? My knowledge isn’t that good for those decades but I’m enjoying finding out.

  1. Super cool project! Music is in itself the timeline of everyone!
Is there a space for 1952’s singing in the rain? 🎤🎶☔🙌
    Have fun!

  2. Hi Ian,

Well for my taste for the 30s, 40s, 50s I would check out the jazz standards. There are some beautiful songs, eg Lush Life.

Check out Louis Armsrong, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Sarah Vaughn, Miles Davis, Bing Crosby, etc also people like Fred Astaire were popular in the 20s and 30s.

I guess when you get in to the 50s its going to start to get easier!

    Happy Hunting 🙂
